Dancehall Producer Tarik 'Russian' Johnston, was held by police at the Piarco International Airport in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad for obscene language and disorderly conduct on Saturday.
Tight lipped administrators at Piarco refused to comment but airport police and other security personnel said that Johnston, 22, had refused a request by a security officer and let off a string of expletives. He was detained but was subsequently released.
Johnston who is known for dancehall rhythms like Go Go Club and Nuh Fear was also involved in another dispute with a security guard at the Digicel Jamaica Consumer Electronics Show in October last year. There he was reported to have disobeyed the officer by walking into a restricted area.
And just last month Johnston was again in the news after he came on to the scene of a mob beating. Police reports say the mob was beating a man who robbed a schoolboy. Johnston fired a shot from his licensed firearm to disperse the crowd but unknown to him, a gunshot was returned by another licensed firearm holder. Johnston then ran, climbed a wall and injured his shoulder.
