WACKA FLOCKA TOUR BUS SHOT UP

Southern rapper Waka Flocka Flame has turned down the idea his North Carolina tour bus shooting incident earlier this week had anything to do with him or his camp being targeted.

A day after the shoot-out, Waka's mother, Debra Antney, stepped forward and gave the inside scoop on what went down.

"So I just wanted to address the incident in North Carolina, the tour bus issue that's taking place now," Antney said. "To my understanding, what has happened was there were random cars that began shooting, nobody could figure what they were shooting at. The bus had gotten hit four times, security followed appropriate protocol and returned fire. And to my understanding, there was one person thus far which was the assailant which was hit. Waka wasn't hit, Waka wasn't out there, he wasn't in the tour bus. The bus was actually out there getting the system done. It's a system being placed in the bus -- it never ceases to amaze me how my phones were going really crazy and everybody's [saying], 'Oh Waka got shot,' -- or I'm reading the comments of what people are saying and he didn't do anything. He wasn't there, he didn't do anything." (Mizay Entertainment)
"The news sounds better when you place his name in there instead of talking about what really happened," she added. "Because there were a lot of other people out there whose vehicles was hit. My phone is ringing by many bystanders that are standing out there that seem to know, also, what was going on -- but me talking to my own team and finding out what's going on, it is safe to say we took no part in this. We had nothing to do with this." (Mizay Entertainment)

Six men have been charged in connection with a shoot-out involving rapper Waka Flocka Flame. The men, all in their early 20s, were arrested Saturday by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's Violent Criminal Apprehension Team. None of the men charged are from the rapper's entourage, said police spokesman Rob Tufano. (Charlotte Observer)

SIX SUSECTS HAVE BEEN NAMED : Andre Sellers, Antoine Washington, Xavier Hoover, David Bellamy, Barry Lawrence and Antonio Stukes are all being charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery and two counts of felony shooting into occupied property. All are under at least $200,000 bond. Some face additional charges. Police say the men were trying to rob rapper Waka Flocka Flame of his jewelrymag-glass_10x10.gif, while his tour bus got a sound system upgrade at a store on Independence Blvd. on Wednesday. Members of the rapper's security team fired at the men who shot at the bus. (WCNC News)
RumorFix has learned exclusively that the gunmen who opened fire on Waka Flocka Flame's tour bus on Wednesday were after his $1.2 million necklace. Waka's publicist, Kali Bowyer, tells RumorFix exclusively, "We are pleased with the attentiveness by the Charlottemag-glass_10x10.gif Police Department in capturing these individuals in such a timely manner. It is such a shame that one would risk the lives of innocent women and children in hopes of stealing one's jewelry." (RumorFix)
