A pair of twins accused of harbouring a 15-year-old girl, who ran away from home, and making arrangements with a man to have sex with her for cash, appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.
The accused are both charged with encouraging the prostitution of a minor, and aiding and abetting carnal abuse.

The allegations are that the teen ran away from home and went to live with one of the twins. It is alleged that the twins introduced her to a man, who came to take out the teen sometime after being introduced. It is further alleged that the man took the teen to his home where he had sex with her, before waking up another man who was at the house, to also have sex with the teen. A third man was also reported to have been involved in the act.
It is alleged that the man who took the teen to the house, told her that he would return and give her $3,000. However, he never did and the teen reportedly went back to the twins' house where one of them asked her for the money she was paid.
The Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse received word of the situation at the home and an investigation was launched, resulting in the arrest of the twins. The court was also told that three other persons had been taken into custody in relation to the incident, and are to be taken before the court soon.
The matter is to be mentioned again today. The twins were remanded.
