DJ's --> Do You Get To Play/Hear New Dancehall Tunes In Your Area?

People don't seem to respond well to music they've never hear before.

As a result, I don't get to play new dancehall music when I play out.

I try to incorporate but its very rare because if the music is good and I play something new, it can quickly kill the vibe.

I'm kind of "forced" to play the sing a longs for the people in order to keep the vybe going.

This is true, home in Trinidad there are alot of artist longing for exposure, and they turn to us DJ's. I really would help out if the chance is right, but during a dance... As you said people don't really take well to songs they're not familiar with.
I say, use them in the early part of your event and way down to the end. This way if it is not embraced the reprocusions won't be to devasting: like killing a vibe, no DJ wants to do that.
