In what is being hailed by many as a miracle, a St Catherine resident who was recently attacked and stabbed 50-odd times is still alive in hospital.

The 36-year-old labourer was stabbed a number of times in his upper body in Springfield, Guy's Hill, St Catherine, on Sunday.

"Yes dis man mek cat look like baby. As if them have nine lives, him have 50-odd. This a miracle," a female resident said while other persons expressed similar views.

Reports reaching THE STAR are that early Sunday morning, Johnson was inside an exotic club sleeping when person/s gained entry. He was attacked and stabbed repeatedly.

The Guy's Hill police were called in and he was eventually rushed to the hospital.

Police told THE STAR that Johnson has remained hospitalised in a serious condition since the attack.
