A policeman assigned to the Freeport Police Station in Montego Bay, St.James, was shot and injured last evening.
The incident occurred about 5:30 p.m. yesterday in the station's barracks. The injured cop has since been admitted in hospital.
Up to press time last night, information on the shooting was sketchy. THE STAR was told that the colleagues of the injured cops were still being questioned and that further details would not be available until today.
The Montego Bay CIB is investigating the incident.
