More than 50 pounds of ganja and approximately 50 pounds of ganja seeds was seized by the Black River police in the St Elizabeth capital on Sunday, police have revealed.

The seizure took place between 3 a.m. and 7 a.m. during an operation in the Ridge Lane area of Black River, police said. No one was held in connection with the seizure.

Police said during the operation, a premises was searched and the ganja - totalling 55 pounds - was seized. Fifty pounds of ganja seeds was also confiscated. The police are continuing their investigations.
