SERGEANT Russell Robinson and the other three men implicated in a massive gun and ammunition find in East Kingston were remanded when the appeared in the gun court today.
The three others, David Blagrove, Charles Morris, an employee at the police armoury, and Garnett Pennington a businessman.
The four were arrested in February after a police patrol noticed suspicious activity at a premises on Munster Road and decided to investigate despite assurances from Robinson that nothing was amiss.
A search unearthed 18 guns found in a car to which Robinson had the keys.
The weapons which included M-16 rifles, shotguns, Uzi sub-machine guns, pistols and revolvers and the ammunition were allegedly stolen from the Elletson Road armoury. The police believe that the cache, which also included several police vests, was to be sold to criminals.
Robinson, Charles Morris and David Blagrove have been charged with 18 counts of illegal possession of firearm.
Robinson has also been charged with four breaches of the Corruption Prevention Act, one count of illegal possession of ammunition and one count of storehouse break-in and larceny.
Morris and Blagrove are both charged with 18 counts of illegal possession of firearms, one count of illegal possession of ammunition and one count of aiding and abetting storehouse break-in and larceny.
Pellington, has been charged with 19 counts of illegal possession of firearms, two counts of illegal possession of ammunition and a count of aiding and abetting storehouse break-in and larceny.
