Grizzly loose in Tivoli Gardens - Residents stockpile guns, petrol, police say

THE police high command said this morning that they have information that residents of Tivoli Gardens are in possession of the 50-calibre Grizzly Big Boar sniper rifle.

In addition, the police said they have information that the residents have also stockpiled petrol.

US gun manufacturer LAR Manufacturing said on its website that the Grizzly Big Boar is a rifle that leaves its competition in the dust.

Its powerful .50 calibre BMG round blows its targets to pieces, the site says.

The police are appealing to all law abiding residents of the affected areas (mainly Tivoli Gardens and Denham Town) to call the police if they need assistance. The police are also appealing to these residents to report any acts of criminality and are assuring these citizens that they have nothing to fear from the presence of the security forces as we intend to conduct our operations in a professional manner in accordance with the law and in the interest of all concerned, a police news release issued today said.
