The Prime Minister says he will be transferring some of his ministerial responsibilies to some of his colleagues, to allow him to focus on other matters.
In addition to being Prime Minister, Mr Golding is also the minister of Planning and Development, Defence and Information and Telecommunication.
He said the aim is to provide him with the opportunity to fulfill more of the campaign promises of the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) prior to the September 2007 general elections.
In the meantime, Mr Golding said that he will be moving to table in Parliament the proposals put forward by the Public Sector Transformation Unit.
He will also be seeking the approval of Parliament for the controversial anti crime bills, the DNA Evidence Act and new legislation to prevent government contracts from being awarded to individuals linked to criminal activities.
The prime minister also said new laws are to be implemented to address constitutional reform and to strengthening current legislation.
These include provisions for the impeachment of public officials and term limits for the Office of the Prime Minister.
