A 63-year-old pastor, who allegedly tried to leave the island with 10 pounds of ganja strapped to his thighs, was remanded in custody when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.
The pastor Thomas Pearson of Stony Hill, St Andrew and his alleged accomplice, Sanguanitti Bryan, who was also remanded, are scheduled to return to court tomorrow.
Pearson and Bryan, a 42-year-old craft vendor of Sheffield in Westmoreland, are both charged with possession of, dealing in, taking steps to export, and conspiracy to export ganja.
Pearson was reportedly held at the Norman Manley International Airport on April 21 while trying to board a flight to Trinidad
