Report reaching The Star is that about 10 p.m. the constable was in Portsmouth on his Honda motorbike in the company of a woman. The police said a white Toyota Corolla car with three men drove up. The men came out of the car and opened fire hitting the policeman.
He was relieved of a Glock 9mm pistol along with 18 rounds of 9mm cartridges. The injured cop was taken to hospital where he was admitted in a serious condition. The woman escaped injuries.
