Dancehall deejay Aidonia and his Road Manager, Kirk Roberts, have parted ways following a disagreement over money.

"Yea, a bag a ting a gwaan," Aidonia told The STAR in an exclusive interview on Wednesday.

"Him not even try explain himself, him jus tek weh himself," Aidonia said.

Aidonia said he would now like to make it known that, "regarding my business, and anything where Aidonia is concerned, Kirk Roberts no longer does business for me.

Grow up

When contacted, however, Roberts said, "Aidonia needs to grow up and stop allowing his family to influence him."

"Right now still, Aidonia really an truly a guh tru a phase an family a di key part of it. Him live wid him family same way an dem nuh really waan si nobody come roun him an strive," Roberts said.

But he said he should have seen it coming, "cause from mi si wah happen to Scatta. But since Scatta, a me do every ting fi Aidonia, when him waan clothes a me guh pon di road an buy it, me act as road manager, deal wid promotions fi him an guh as far as spin him records for him when him a perform. Ask him how much was my salary?"

Roberts said: "all now Aidonia nuh come seh nutt'n to mi. Di last time him guh one show a foreign an come back him a cuss an seh somebody get $150,000 fi gi him an don't gi him, an me ask him seh a who do dat, an him seh mi wi know."

Roberts also told The STAR, "His remark was, di 'mount a money weh me have inna my bank account him start suspect me. Up till now Aidonia nuh seh nutt'n to me like, 'Kirk it done, wi nuh inna business again', messages were passed on to me from him."

Roberts said he and Aidonia had been friends for 15 years "from before him name Aidonia."

"But mi still rate di yout an nobody still cyan come roun mi an talk nutt'n bad bout him," he said.

Well, now that Roberts has parted company with Aidonia, what will his next move be?

Roberts, however, assured, "mi nah come out a di music because it has become a part of my life now since Aidonia introduced me to it bout four, five years now. Mi a plan fi do some work pon mi own now in terms of production cause mi did start already an mi a guh finish," he said.

He also added: "other artistes have been calling me and asking that I help them." Although he declined to mention any names, Roberts said: "A even me an a artiste deh a di studio right now. I'm just so dissapointed wid Aidonia to know that he would go to the media wid this, trying to stain my career."

In the meantime, Aidonia said he had a lot on his plate to contend with musically.

"Sunday a come wi a have a video shoot and Saturday will be the audition from 4-8 p.m. at Endless Studios, 91 Slipe Road, Cross Roads beside Carib. An di song weh wi a shoot is a medley of A You (Tap Yuh Noise) and Gyal Don't Ball," Aidonia said.

"In a nex couple weeks wi a guh have few more videos fi do an mix tapes are out on the streets right now. And di show dem, both local and overseas a gwaan mad same way, like every weekend," Aidonia said.
