ST JOHNS, Antigua, CMC Police have launched an investigation into the weekend drowning death of a United States citizen whose body was found floating at a popular beach on Antiguas northeast coast.
The body of Haiber Raza-Rizvi, 27, a student of the American University of Antigua (AUA) College of Medicine was found yesterday at Jabberwock Beach by a local fisherman.
A report from the police Office of Strategic Communication said Rizvi, who was scheduled to return home on April 24, was reported missing after he failed to show up at the VC Bird International Airport for his Continental Airlines flight back to the United States.
Jabberwock Beach is accessible from the AUA campus located at Jabberwock Drive.
The police said they do not suspect foul play in Rizvis death. An autopsy is scheduled to be done later today.
