Cops seize illegal gun downtown

One man has been taken into police custody following the seizure of an illegal gun in a motor car in downtown Kingston yesterday.

His name is being withheld pending further investigations.

Information received is that about 8:15 a.m., a team of police was on patrol when the motor car was stopped on Charles Street. The vehicle was searched and a Kimber .45 pistol containing nine (9) .45 cartridges was found. The driver was subsequently arrested.

The Kingston Central Police are investigating
