Is support beginning to wane for incarcerated reggae star Buju Banton?

With his trial delayed until June, the Untold Stories singer will have spent more than six months in jail since his December arrest when he was caught allegedly attempting to buy more than five kilograms of cocaine from an undercover law enforcement
officer in Sarasota, Florida. 

"There is still support for Buju on Facebook and on some entertainment sites but the interest is diminishing a little because he has been locked up for such a long time
without any trial. But once the trial begins, it will re-energise his fan base, but for now, like everyone else, they're waiting," one music insider said.

U.S. District Judge James Moody had pushed the date back to June, but no reason was given for the change.

Banton pleaded not guilty to the accusation in January and his lawyer, David Oscar Markus, has filed an official complaint in court, claiming the U.S. government entrapped the star into a drug deal. 

Banton faces up to 20 years in prison, if convicted. He is due in court on June 21st.
