The EME Awards founder/radio personalityRichard "Richie B" Burgess is now broken-hearted with the passing of his mother Mavis Burgess, who left us 12:55 PM on Saturday April 3rd to a better place. She suffered a stroke and was unable to recover. At 87years old she has left behind 10 children, with Richie being the "wash belly", along with numerous grand and great grand children.

The reggae fraternity is deeply saddened and is standing firm with our brother Richie B offering comfort at this time of need. The funeral service will be at the Buff Bay SDA Church at 11am on Sunday April 25.

Richie B is one of Jamaicas most prominent radio personalities and trailblazers who's also known to be a family man.
