Police in Bucks County are searching for a suspect who used a hypodermic needle as a weapon during two convenience store robberies overnight.
The suspect entered a Wawa in the 3500 block of Bethlehem Pike in Hilltown Township at about 4 a.m.
Police said the suspect, armed with a needle, ordered an employee to give him cash. The suspect reportedly threatened to stab the clerks with HIV infected needles if they didn't give him money. When his demands were not met, he fled the store on foot.
A short time later, the suspect used the same robbery tactic at a Sunoco in the 1500 block of Bethlehem Pike. He fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.
No injuries were reported in either incident.
Authorities described the suspect as a white male in his 20s. If you have any information, please contact police.
