As a citizen you have the right to a peaceful demonstration or march. However, you must apply for and receive permission from the commissioner of police three days before demonstrating or marching.
-If the applicant relates to the corporate area, or the Superintendent of police is in charge of any other parish in which you wish to march or demonstrate: -you MUST not march at night -you MUST not block the roads and prevent people from going about their lawful business. -Persons who aid in demonstrations can be prosecuted. -No fire must be lit or weapons, missile or acid taken to the demonstration. -No scandalous, abusive or threatening words should be said against the police.
