Romeich Record drops debut rhythm(STAR NEWS)

There's more to come for Romeich Record's debut rhythm, Bank Inna Mi Pocket. Released in late February, top guns Mavado, Bounty Killer and Aidonia are set to add their voices to the rhythm.

The debut release from the designer-turned-producer Romeich Major and his partners Rayon 'Slida' Curate and Donovan Davis, Bank Inna Mi Pocket has been getting attention on air and in the streets.

With seven artistes, from the more experienced KipRich and Mr Lex to newcomers Flexxx and T'Nez, Bank Inna Mi Pocket covers vast topics from girls, to money and bad mind behaviour.

KipRich brings a war vibe with his Stamma as he calls out anyone ready to speak up to the feisty deejay as he says, "cyaan violate inna deh town yah, afta yuh nuh come from around yah."

Flexxx continues his gallis argument with Gallis Fi Dem that talks about him being all about the girls from a tender age. In Nuh Gal Nuh Waan Dem Mr Lex is about his 'swag' as he deejays, "so when dem see we wid some girl dem only see inna dem dream, dem tun on dem bad mind siren."

Stacious, the only female representing on the rhythm, takes a slightly different route seeing the deejay singing more than usual in Stop Me From Shine. The other singer on the rhythm T'Nez is one of the stand outs with Wah Dem A Pree. Also on the rhythm is Versatile, whose song the rhythm was named after and Einstein with Bad Man Nuh War Ova Gal.

When THE WEEKEND STAR spoke to Romeich he explained that the rhythm has been doing well saying, "its playing a lot on all major stations. It's on the new jugglings in the streets and it's playing in the street dances. To how the people are taking on to it, I expect a lot especially as Mavado, Bounty and Aidonia are sure to be added to the rhythm sometime this month."

As for future projects from Romeich Records he added, "I have singles to come out soon from my artiste Versatile and finishing up my one drop rhythm. And I'm now working on my follow-up dancehall rhythm."
