Pentagon Shooting Suspect Dead, Two Officers Wounded
ARLINGTON, Va. (WUSA) - Two Pentagon police officers have been released from the hospital following a shoot-out at the busy Metro station entrance to the Pentagon around 6:40pm Thursday.
9NEWS NOW and wusa9.com have learned the officers are identified as Jeff Amos and Marvin Carraway. One officer was shot in the top of the shoulder; the other received a wound in the thigh. Officials say a third officer engaged the suspect, but he was not injured.
Despite the officers' injuries, they fired back, hitting the suspect. Officials say the exchange lasted less than a minute. They were all transported to George Washington University Hospital.
