The drugs courier stuffed the condoms filled with the drug and coated with wax to make them easier to get back when nature took its course. 

Even the slightest split in any of the condoms would have triggered death by a massive overdose.

Border guard spokesman Michel Bachar told the Austrian Times: "It was an exceptional find. It's like a string of sausages as long as a car or 3.5 litres of milk."

The smuggler was one of four men who were arrested after they tried to crash a border post near Geneva, Switzerland.

Police found a further 1.3 kilos of cocaine stashed in the stomachs of the three other men in the car.
