The murder case involving deejay Ninja Man, his son and two other men, was last week transferred to the Circuit Court and is to mentioned there on April 7.
The deejay, whose real name is Desmond Ballentine, his son, Janiel Ballentine, Seymour Samuels and Clayton Dennis, are all charged with the March 16 murder of Richard Johnson.
When the matter was mentioned in the Corporate Area Gun Court last Friday, Samuels was granted $700,000 bail while the others were further remanded. The deejay has been in custody since early 2009.
The allegations are that on March 16, Johnson was sweeping his yard in the company of a friend on Marl Road, in St Andrew, when a motor car with three men aboard drove up.
An argument developed between Johnson's friend and the men who left, but later returned with guns blazing. Johnson was fatally shot in the incident.
Ninja Man turned himself in to the police shortly after the incident, upon hearing that he was being sought as a person of interest in the case.
