ContactMusic: KID CUDI has apologised to a fan for punching him in the head during a concert in Canada in December (09) - reportedly blaming his bad behaviour on booze.
The rapper - real name Scott Mescudi - was performing at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver when an audience member threw a wallet on stage. Cudi threw it back but it landed at his feet again, prompting the fuming star to leap down into the crowd and aim a punch at Michael Sharpe.
Sharpe later claimed he only threw the item onstage because it didn't belong to him. He refused to press charges over the incident and has now received a telephone apology from the rapper. He tells TMZ.com that Cudi called him over the weekend (06-07Feb10) to say sorry for incident, with the rapper claiming he only lost his temper because he had enjoyed a couple of drinks that evening. Sharpe also revealed the star has offered him an all expenses-paid trip to New York City to make amends for the incident.
