A tough-talking Queen Paula on Tuesday night launched a stinging attack on several of her female music counterparts, fuelling talk of a possible clash at Follow Di Arrow event, on Saturday February 27, at James Bond Beach, St Mary.

The raucous deejay delivered a stunning broadside interspersed with numerous expletives during a brief performance segment at the event's launch ceremony, held at Mango Ranch, on West King's House Road, St Andrew.

During her outbursts, representatives from several corporate sponsors cringed, but there were some who seemed amused as Queen Paula spoke harshly about several female deejays.

Queen Paula rapidly uttered several feisty remarks, saying that female companion Face regularly indulged in perverted acts, and that Lisa Hyper was a sexual deviant. Throughout her performance the audience groaned audibly as she deejayed her song.

In a quick snap of the finger, Face responded with equal venom and accused Queen Paula of performing some of the most repugnant sexual acts. The deejay later told THE STAR that she couldn't have waited any longer to speak her mind, after hearing her name unecessarily mentioned in several songs.

"No, I couldn't wait. I left (clashing) fi dem for two years or more. But, when mi hear weh dem a gwan wid a Sting, mi couldn't help it," said Queen Paula who is known for the songs War Wid and Ignorant Fi Dem.

At Sting 2009, held at Jamworld, in Portmore, St Catherine, Queen Paula was at the end of a lyrical backlash from several females, including Face and Lisa Hyper, even though she wasn't in attendance.

Queen Paula said she was overseas on her vacation in New York and the Turks and Caicos Islands. She said there was no clear intention on her part to get back into clashing, but defending her status is now her number one priority.

"A dem call mi back out, now dem affi prepare demself fi dead. All mi fren Macka Diamond too, mi nuh business a who and who wah vex, vex," she said.

Promoter Dexton Ennis was naturally pleased to see the buzz gathering around the event, but on the matter of a possible clash'he said, "I don't want to confine Follow Di Arrow to a clash show. If the climate is right, I'm prepared to host that."

Other performances included Sophia Squire, Ikaya and Unicorn.
