WASHINGTON - A magnitude 6.0 earthquake hit Guatemala's Pacific coast near the border with El Salvador on Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
It said the quake, 64.2 miles deep, was centered 60 miles southeast of Guatemala City.
The temblor was strongly felt in the capital, according to Spanish-language network Telemundo, although there were no initial reports of damages or casualties.
