While rumors have been rampant, Keyshia Cole has officially confirmed that she is engaged and expecting a baby.


I can confirm she is engaged and has an incredible ring, a rep for the 28-year-old singer tells UsMagazine.com. Coles fiancé, Cleveland Cavaliers player Daniel Boobie Gibson, proposed to her on New Years Eve.

[It was] an absolute surprise, adds the rep. When he asked her to marry him, she was flabbergasted. He presented her with the ring and her mouth dropped in amazement. Its too beautiful for words.

Cole has been recording the follow-up to 2008s A Different Me, tentatively scheduled for release later this year. She will also make her acting debut in Tyler Perrys Why Did I Get Married Too?, in theaters April 2.
