HENRY COUNTY, Ga. -- An Atlanta-based record producer, rapper and songwriter is accused of murder.Authorities told Channel 2 Action News that Demetrius Stewart, 28, also known as "Shawty Redd," shot and killed another man Friday morning.It happened at a house in the 2000 block of Ballymeade Lane in Hampton.Police said Stewart initially told them that he shot his friend accidentally.But after conducting an investigation, authorities said that the victim was actually shot following an argument that had turned physical.The victim has been identified as Damon Martin, 35, of Detroit.Stewart was arrested and charged with murder, and is currently being held in the Henry County jail.A court appearance scheduled for Saturday was reset for Jan. 12.Fans took to Stewart’s MySpace page writing messages like "Free Shawty Redd" and "I’m Shocked."Stewart has worked with artists ranging from Young Jeezy to Snoop Dogg.
