Popular dancehall artiste Desmond "Ninja Man" Ballentine, who is also facing his share of problems with the law, returned to the Corporate Area Criminal Court on Monday on a charge of murder.

More testimony was heard on Monday as the preliminary enquiry into the circumstances of the murder continued.

The entertainer and his 20-year-old son Janiel Ballentine along with Clayton Dennis and Seymour Samuels are charged with the murder of 20-year-old Ricardo Johnson, a resident of Olympic Gardens in St. Andrew.

Mr. Johnson was gunned down in a drive-by shooting on March 16.

Defence attorney Norma Linton argued that the evidence against Ninjaman is weak based on the testimony given by the witnesses.

She argued that none of the witnesses have identified Ninjaman as the shooter.

The hearing continues on December 23, when Ms Linton will apply for bail on behalf of the artiste.
