Vybz Kartel's nod to Shabba Ranks, Gaza Ting a Ling hit the #8 spot on the reggae specialty charts in the US last week.
Kartel was also the week's GREATEST GAINER, moving a total of 7 points. In the meantime, Vybz Kartel continues to dominate local charts, earning his seventh number one single for 2009 with Love Dem hitting the top of the Jamaica Music Countdown charts.

Kartel's previous number one singles are Mama, Last Man Standing, Ramping Shop, Completely, Mind on Mi Money, and Million by a Morning.

This week, Kartel has three songs in the top ten of the Jamaica Music Countdown charts. In September he released the album, Pon Di Gaza, to rave reviews from dancehall's core audience, however, it has not yet caught fire with the mainstream audience as yet, registering anaemic sales. However, sales could be buoyed by news that the Ramping Shop single has re-entered the Billboard R & B charts.

This chart is based on electronically monitored airplay of radio stations listed here: charts.mediaguide.com/panels/Reggae_Specialty.html. Singles are ranked by total plays for the week of 10/19/09 - 10/25/09. Bold chart positions indicate singles with increased airplay from the previous week.
