Baby Tash devastated Brown's Town during the Jagra-sponsored Nuh Behaviour show over the weekend, sending a warning to all the other females deejays to step up their game because Tash is taking no prisoners.
Dressed in all-white (even her sneakers were sparkling white), she hit the stage after Fantan Mojah performed, and had the capacity audience at Addison Park in Brown's Town buzzing with excitement.
Baby Tash is a great dancer, jiggling her waistline as she showed off a wide assortment of 'wines' that dazzled the crowd and had them hanging on her every word. When she deejayed 'Some Gal Too Mix Up', and got an immediate forward.
Then she segued neatly into Talk the Tings Straight, a delightful stage show tune full of humourous lines and sexual innuendo. The crowd revelled in the 'mix-up' especially the lines where Tash recounted how an ex-boyfriend went around the community boasting about how he was a gallis, but then neglected to tell people that she had "caught him eating in bed with knife and fork". The crowd, especially the females, screamed raucously for this line, and Tash was forced to pull up the song.
It was a brilliant performance as Tash danced, and wined, using every centimeter of the stage. She closed strongly with her latest radio hit, Facebook, and then left the stage. However, the crowd was having none of that, and demanded an encore,
She returned to do Facebook and as bonus, even though the stage manager said the show was pressed for time, did Haffi Come Back, got a great performance and then exited. The crowd shouted its approval. Jenny Jenny, one of the hostesses of the night, was so overwhelmed by Tash's performance that she hugged her afterwards. It appears that a star was born in Brown's Town that night.
Other good performances came from Macka Diamond, Hawkeye, Stevie Face, Fantan Mojah, Singer Jah, Tifa, RDX and Timberlee.
Baby Tash will next perform at Western Jamboree in Tivoli Gardens on December 6th.
