The Cross Roads police have yet to receive any information regarding the identity of the parents of a four-month-old girl who was found abandoned in the Cross Roads area on Sunday.
Reports are that about 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, a passer-by saw the baby lying in a basket along Caledonia Avenue. The child was wrapped in a beige towel. The baby was taken to the Bustamante Hospital for Children where she was fed and examined and found to be in good health. She is also being kept there.
Police from the Cross Roads Police Station said they have received no information that could help them locate the baby's parents and said no one has reported seeing any strange activity near the area.
Anyone with an idea of who the child might be or the whereabouts of her mother is being asked to contact the Cross Roads police at 926-6657, police 119 emergency numbers or the nearest police station.
