The shocking death of a man in Falmouth over the weekend was like an inescapable scene from the Hollywood movie Final Destination after he was hit not once, but twice by two separate motor vehicles which were of the same make.
Reports reaching THE STAR are that about 7:35 p.m., George Sinclair, 52, of Hague in Trelawny, was riding his bicycle along the Falmouth main road in the vicinity of Rock Bridge when he was hit by a Toyota Camry motor car that was travelling in the opposite direction.
Reports are that the driver of the motor car exited the vehicle and was assisting the injured man out of the road when in the strange twist of events a second Toyota Camry motor car that was heading towards Falmouth sped along and hit Sinclair again.
Sinclair was taken to the Falmouth Hospital where died while being treated.
Attempts to get a further update on the matter were unsuccessful yesterday as the sergeant at the Falmouth Police Station said that the investigation was in its early stages and he had no knowledge of the case's specifics. The investigating officer was out of office. The Falmouth Traffic Department is probing the matter.
