56-year-old Fitzy Bennett was stoned to death by his son following an argument at his home in Rose Hall, Clarendon on Friday night.

According to reports the father was involved in an argument with his son which resulted in stones being thrown.

Yardflex understand that his son Anthony Bennett was taken into police custody by his mother yesterday.

The Constabulary Communication Network reported that at about 7:45 p.m., both men were at home when they had a dispute. The argument escalated into a fight and they began throwing stones at each other. The senior Bennett received injuries to his head and died on spot.

Police say from their investigations they have been told that the two men had frequent falling-outs with each other. Up to late yesterday, it had not been ascertained what the men were arguing about or who started the argument
