--------------------------
Warcraft: Orcs & Humans
is a real-time strategy game, developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment in 1994.[1] The real-time strategy genre had been pioneered by Dune II, but Warcraft (along with Westwood Studios' Command & Conquer) is widely credited for the genre's rise in popularity.

The game is set in the Kingdom of Azeroth, part of the fictional Warcraft universe. The events that take place in this game are known in Warcraft lore as the First War or the Great War.

The human Mage Medivh, scion of a mortal human and one of the last guardians, comes under the influence of the long dead dark Titan, Sargeras. Mad with lust and power, he offers the world of Azeroth to the *lo**thirsty Orcs in exchange for the Titan's powers and unwavering loyalty of the Orcish Horde.

The Orcs begin a very swift invasion of Azeroth but are, at first, beaten back and Medivh himself is slain, putting an end to his quest for power and domination. However, fortunes take a turn for the worse when the Orcs assassinate King Llane, sack Stormwind Keep (the capital of Azeroth), and drive the humans from Azeroth Far far north into the Lordaeron subcontinent (setting the story for Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness).

Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness
is the sequel to the popular real-time strategy game Warcraft: Orcs & Humans, developed by Blizzard Entertainment and released in December of 1995. Users play as either orcs or humans in a fantasy medieval world full of swords and sorcery.

The game was originally written for MS-DOS; there was also a Mac OS version of the game. Blizzard also released an expansion pack, developed by Cyberlore Studios, known as Warcraft II: Beyond the Dark Portal on April 30, 1996. Blizzard released Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness for Microsoft Windows, c****ined with its expansion, in 1999, under the name Warcraft II: Battle.net Edition. Changes made for this release included multiplayer support via Blizzard's online gaming service, Battle.net. There is also a sequel to this, Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos, released in July, 2002. The game has a linear single-player campaign for each side, and a multiplayer option via a LAN or the Internet, using existing or user-created maps.

Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos
(War3 or WC3 or RoC) is a real-time strategy computer game released by Blizzard Entertainment in July 2002. It is the second sequel to Warcraft: Orcs & Humans, and it is the third game set in the Warcraft Universe. An expansion pack, The Frozen Throne, was released in 2003.

Warcraft III contains four playable races:[1] Humans and Orcs, which had previously appeared in Warcraft: Orcs & Humans and Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness, and the Night Elves and Undead, which are new to the Warcraft mythos.[2] Warcraft III's single-player campaign is laid out similarly to that of StarCraft, being told through all four of the game's races in a progressive manner. Multiplayer mode allows for play against other people, via the internet, instead of playing against computer-controlled characters as is done in the single-player custom game mode.

The game proved to be one of the most anticipated and popular computer game releases ever, with 4.5 million units shipped to retail stores and over one million units sold within a month.[3] Warcraft III won many awards including "Game of the Year" from more than six different publications.

Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne
The sign of a truly great expansion pack is when, having played it, you realize you could never go back to the original game. After all, truly great expansion packs don't just add new content--they add real depth, and fundamentally make the core game better. Blizzard Entertainment knows the drill when it comes to delivering these sorts of products. Its follow-up releases for 1998's Starcraft and 2000's Diablo II were so effective and so good that many, many people are still playing both of those games today, all these years later. Given Blizzard's track record with expansion packs, it's understandable that fans of the company's games would have very high expectations for Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. Last year's real-time strategy game was a very tough act to follow on any number of levels, and yet Blizzard has delivered a terrific, full-featured expansion for Warcraft III that makes an already outstanding game significantly more so.
Warcraft III Battle Chest
The Warcraft III Battle Chest is the ultimate collection of thebest-selling Blizzard strategy games. This set includes 2002 Game ofthe Year Warcraft III: The Reign of Chaos, as well as the recentlyreleased and critically acclaimed follow-up - Warcraft III Expansion:The Frozen Throne. In addition to all these hours of epic adventure inthe world of Azeroth, and limitless online fun on the Battle.net gamingsite, the Battle Chest also contains strategy guides from Brady Gamesfor both titles to help players dominate the battlefield. Thiscollection is valued at over $75.00 sold separately, and is perfect forentering the epic war between the races of Azeroth and the demonicBurning Legion...
