A New York City woman who says she can't find a job is taking the eminently reasonable step of suing the college where she earned a bachelor's degree.
Trina Thompson filed a lawsuit last week against Monroe College in Bronx Supreme Court, The New York Post reports. The 27-year-old is seeking to get the $70,000 she spent on tuition compensated.
Thompson says she's been unable to find gainful employment since she received her information technology degree in April.
She also claims that the Bronx school's Office of Career Advancement hasn't provided her with the leads and career advice it promises.
Monroe College spokesman Gary Axelbank says Thompson's lawsuit is completely without merit, and the college insists it helps its graduates find jobs.

No to be honest if dem promise which they do alot of collages do promise to help you find a job after ya finish school na matter what ya GPA is and they don't, will it hold up inna court I don't know but can she sue for the money yes!!! but I think the argument will be that she can't present herself as a good prospect cause of reasons beyond the schools control!!! Like low grades ,presentation(looks and so fourth) but if she win a whole lot a schools ago shut down the ledigation on this should be good!!! me want to know more on this!!! Keep I posted!!
It's beyond the Colleges control. It's all up to the persons character and also if it suits the employers standard for that job.
Could have the Resume of Bill Gates that shows all his famous attributes to the world's society, but dat nah mek it more.
I find that Jewish people (no offense to none) that they're the hardest critics when it comes to employing a worker. Once they spot a piercing or a visible tattoo, your chances of acquiring that job position just grew small.
