DANCEHALL deejay Rodney Pryce, popularly know as Bounty Killer, spent last night in jail and will know his fate today, when he appears in the Gun Court section of the Corporate Area Resident Magistrates Court.

Pryce was taken in custody when he turned himself in at the Half-Way-Tree Police Station Wednesday morning and was formally charged with unlawful wounding, assault at common law and illegal possession of a firearm. This stemmed from a September 27, 2007 incident on St Lucia Avenue, New Kingston, in which he and others reportedly assaulted a man.

Since the start of the year, the controversial deejay has been very active in the courts. He has a trial scheduled for July 29 on obstruction charges and disobeying a red light.

Pryce was also recently before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrates Court for assaulting woman at a nightclub in New Kingston. He is to face trial on September 10, on charges of assault occasioning bodily harm, in relation to that matter.
