First of all, the letter was originally placed on a blog that had been newly created on wordpress.com. It wasn't linked up to any legitimate sources and wasn't even written in proper English. Then it got picked up by some media outlets, got on twitter as a trend and the rest was history.

Why this was taken seriously is beyond me.  I actually agree with the mainstream guys when stuff like this happens but everyone needs to not be so god damn gullible.  We'll believe anything we see on the internet....  Anyway, here is the original letter with some corrections provided by another no name blog

WELL BASICALL DEM A SAY THE STORY WAS SPLICED, SOME OF IT TAKE FROM WIKIPEDIA AND MADE BY SOME MICHAEL FAN. WE STILL DONT KNOW....HOWEVER WE HOPE THAT MICHAEL WAS REALLY INNOCENT AND HE REST IN PEACE ---peacefully

i think it is basically a truth..

REASONS

"CHILDREN IN AMERICA DO NOT COMMAND THE GRAMMAR OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE"
Those in accuracies could very well be the word by word quote from the kid.

"REPORTERS ALWAYS WRITE RUBBISH IN A RUSH TO BE THE FIRST OUT"

I have seen many articles in which the facts are not accurate..yahoo once had 20 soldiers killed in iraq and msn had 22.. and i don't want to comment on the pronunciation of the word

IRAQ and IRAN...

So to run an autopsy on the article to render it invalid by its grammar or the incorrect order of events or the name of the person..is stupid..

we all hear bush.."we are the baddest" and we didn't say it was rubbish no president would say that..did we

I THINK IT WAS ALL FOR THE MONEY...THEY TRIED TO GET HIM FOR THE MONEY

And to cite WIKIPEDIA and accuse the person of writing the article from wikipedia is dumb too


"if something is FACTUAL it will appear all around the world in the very same manner"

that proves factual statements to be true..

if the article had some different from wikipedia they would say...see thats rubbish wikipedia has something different

This is what I would expect from ppl still, there is always just 1 person looking to say no, nuttin nuh guh suh. Mi believe di article, if dem did have di original and copy it and have fi dem proof den mi woulda believe dem. And similiar to wat WA said, wikipedia is basically a site dat gets information from sources! In college dem tell yuh nuh fi use wikipedia fi do yuh hw. BUT! if yuh can get a source other than wikipedia(which gives you the link from where they got the information) yuh criss

If di bwoy come out inna di open and say him lie, money and everyting gone and dem end up inna prison fi blackmailing. Of course him cyan just come out inna di public wid a sorry and all a dat, ppl coulda all likely plan fi kill him *lo**claut

but dezzy here's the thing, if smaddy touch fi yuh yute yaah kill dat, him cudda gi yuh billions a dollars, the pride and dignity and posible yuh yute virginity gone too

also, the person use wikipedia as a "crutch stick" fi help them write the article and nuh change nuh line, him just add on pon it, a professional wud a write it inna fi him own words
