Dancehall deejay Ninja Man (real name - Desmond Ballentine) and his son Jahniel Ballentine were both denied bail when they appeared in the Gun Court section of the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate Court earlier yesterday.

Both face charges of murder, conspiracy to murder and illegal possession of firearm stemming from the March 2009 murder of a man in the Marl Road area of Olympic Gardens. Two other men who are also facing murder charges in connection with the same case were also denied bail.

The judge indicated that the allegations were too serious to grant them bail. Since being charged back in March of this year, Ninja Man has been denied bail at least four times. He is scheduled to return to court on July 2.
