CAPE TOWN, South Africa (AP) - South Africa's Medical Research Council says that more than a quarter of men it surveyed admitted that they have raped a woman.
South Africa has the highest number of reported rapes in the world. Most experts say this is a result of its violent past and the legacy of apartheid, which often forced men to live in single-sex hostels away from their families.
The survey said that some 27 per cent of men interviewed said they had raped a woman, and that half of these had raped more than once. Nearly one in 10 took part in gang rapes.
ALL DEY DO IS TALK THE WORSE ABOUT AFRICA SO PEOPLE CAN SAY "I'M NOT GOING THERE". EVERY WHERE IN THIS WORLD HAS GOOD AND BAD. AFRICA HAS MANY GOOD THINGS HAPPENING BUT THEY ALWAYS CHOOSE TO JUST SPEAK ON THE BAD THINGS.
