Fraud Squad detectives are investigating a 42-year-old teacher who has been accused of stealing the identity of his former schoolmate from the 1970s.
The accused, Garfield Simpson, appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Wednesday and pleaded guilty to identity theft.
He confessed to stealing the identity of Richard Forrester. Both men are former students of St George's College in Kingston.

According to investigators, Simpson was a member of the St George's College School Challenge Quiz Masters team. He has also coached several Corporate Area schools in quiz competitions. Both Simpson and Forrester have the reputation of being 'math wizards'.
It was said in court that Simpson was arrested last weekend after Forrester's father made a report to the Fraud Squad.
Detectives said Forrester's father was made aware of the identity theft during a conversation with one of Simpson's students who boasted about his teacher.
Forrester, the court heard, is currently studying overseas for his PhD.
Simpson was offered $100,000 bail and is to return to court on June 30. A social enquiry report is to be submitted.
