Is it the Recession? That may be a possibility, however whatever the real reason, it appears that more of our local entertainers are turning to unorthodox career paths to sustain their existence.
876radio.com has learnt that dancehall deejay Snagga P** known for his comical yet witty lyrics has traded the microphone for the sidewalks of downtown Kingston where he peddles his wares as a roots Herbalist.
The deejay who was at the apex of his career several years ago with hits such as Urkel Dance, Cyaan Cook and the mega hit Tatti now goes by the moniker 'Mr. Herbalist' since becoming a vendor last December.
He explained that his new found interest for selling roots wine came from an higher inspirations and is not ashamed even though he is occasionally teased by passers-by about his fall from grace.
In the meantime, Snagga explains that his career though dormant is not dead and is set to make his comeback with an eighteen track (18) album, still untitled.
