Over the Last four weeks, Appleton May Daze has captured the hearts of partygoers, and have taken over the Friday night crowd in New Kingston.

The event, with a new, creative theme each week, dared patrons to be bold on the penultimate staging - a night dubbed 'May Hem', with colours being the order of the night.

Ravers, especially the females, donned outrageously designed rainbow colour outfits with hairstyles to match.

The weather was perfect, to the satisfaction of the promoters and patrons alike, who had their fingers crossed, hoping the rain would stay away.

With the venue looking like a box filled with walking crayons, the cameras flickered through the night. One patron, Deana Rae-Clayton, won $20,000 after being judged the most colourful female.

Dressed in a purple top, blue shorts and yellow caution tape crossing to form an X, multicoloured shoelaces and matching socks, she got the winning edge over her rival, Sasha Richards.

The night was a fun-filled one enjoyed by all present - the sweat protruding from the backs of patrons, the dust on the shoes and the look on their faces painted a picture of enjoyment.

So with that out of the way, it was back to the party but only for a moment, as the 'peace officers' found their way to the selectors' booth.

Although a few patrons thought the fun had ended and made their way to the exit, the party continued with the selectors choosing to turn the music down.

Songs like Mavado's Nuh Believe Yuh and Aidonia's Hundred Stab entertained those still inside the venue.

With the last Friday for the month fast approaching and a growing crowd each week, one is left to wonder what the final week will bring, as this week promises to be like no other. What do the promoters have in mind? You will just have to come out and see.
