An unidentified man believed to be in his 20s was shot dead by unknown assailant/s at Joshua Edwards Avenue, Olympic Gardens, Sunday night.

The man, who is about 165 centimetres tall, was clad in blue jeans, a green T-shirt and white shoes.

Reports received by the Constabulary Communication Network are that about 8:45 p.m., residents heard explosions in the area and summoned the police. Lawmen who responded found the man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to the Kingston Public Hospital where he died.
