A May 21 trial date was set in the case of a man who allegedly punched his ex-girlfriend in the face after she threw a bucket of water on his bed.
Allegations are that 21-year-old Nicholas Scott had a fight with the female complainant, at which time he cut her. The matter was reported to the police and Scott was arrested and charged with unlawful wounding.
doused his bed
Scott denied the allegations however, stating that he only punched the complainant after she set one of his sheets on fire and doused his bed with water during an argument.
The complainant, on the other hand, said she only threw water on the bed after Scott threw the same on her. She further went on to ask the court to sentence Scott to three weeks in prison for the offence.
Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey, however, set a May 21 trial date for the matter.
