The issue of trust. Can you trust or have faith in a person nowadays?

The bible says, "faith is the substance of things hope for". "The evidence of the unseen world", but the world teaches us, we must believe only what we see with the natural eye, hence the bible states the opposite, 'only if we believe we will see'!

People nowadays doesn't trust nobody. A girl I knew put it the perfect way by saying, 'A man have to prove himself to her, before she put her trust in him', leave me wondering if nobody really looks in the invisible world again, so what is your take on this issue?

Thanks for your kind words fl..loopz, nobody wants to take the leap of faith, because we living in a 'opportunist' society, so bet if some of them see if that stranger can help them in a special way, they wouldn't have a problem....

Don't put any faith in man and beast as well as material things, but always remember to put faith in christ.

I'm understanding what you are saying, but if we don't have faith in our fellow beings how we are going to see the potential in them? How we are going to see the best in them? It is impossible not to have faith in our fellow brothers and sisters...Like for instance, when you go to a restaurant, don't you have to have faith in the chef to prepare the food? If you employ someone like a manager don't you have to have faith for that person to run the business properly? C, mon guys let us reason this some more......
