Detectives from the Montego Bay Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB) said that formal charges are expected to be brought against the vice-principal implicated in a fatal stabbing in John's Hall, St James, next week.
Earlier this week, Michelle Brown, 35, an educator at John's Hall All- Age School, was taken into custody following the fatal stabbing of her 46-year-old husband, Junior, during a domestic dispute.
Police reports following the incident stated that a knife was used to inflict a fatal wound to the man's chest while both were having an argument on Sunday.
Brown and her husband had been together for more than 10 years and have two children. She has been at the John's Hall All-Age School in the community for more than eight years.
While members of the community claimed she had complained about being beaten by her husband in the past, a police officer attached to the John's Hall Police Station stated that there were no earlier reports of abuse filed by Mrs Brown.
