A man accused of destroying another man's car, told the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court that the car was damaged while he was in the process of parting a fight.
Wayne Savage appeared before Senior Resident Magistrate Glen Brown yesterday to answer to a charge of malicious destruction of property.
Savage pleaded guilty with explanation.
The complainant told the court that the accused and another man were fighting and the accused ran on to his car, sinking some parts of it.
The accused, however, told the court that he was not fighting, but was parting a fight. He, however, admitted responsibility and told the court that he was willing to repay the complainant. The complainant, however, outlined that he did not want several persons working on his car and wanted to choose the mechanic.
Savage is to return to court with the money on March 31.
