Dancehall music producer 'Russian' has been hospitalised after a motor bike accident on Valentines Day in Cherry Gardens, Upper St. Andrew.

Russian whose real name is Tarik Johnston told us in an exclusive interview that the accident occured while he was in transit to the studio.

"I was on my way to the studio in the vicinity of Cherry Hill, mi just come round di corner and dem left a brick inna di road near di sidewalk, is a construction site and when mi come round the corner di wheel hit the brick and I was thrown from the bike. "

According to Russian he was rushed to the Andrew Memorial Hospital where it was revealed that he had fractured his right ankle and suffered some minor cuts and bruises.

"Di doctor said I was ok but would not be able to walk for another three (3) weeks due to the injury".

Russian is best known for his hit single 'Life Sweet' recorded by Portmore Empire deejay Vybz Kartel and has also worked with other top flight entertainers such as the Dancehall Doctor, Beenie Man.
