Three students of a high school in St Catherine, who are on charges of unlawful wounding after allegedly stabbing one of their schoolmates, were granted bail when they appeared in court on Thursday.
The students, ages 13 and 14, were granted $10,000 bail and are expected to return to the St Catherine Children's Court on May 8.
It was said in court that the boys are alleged to be part of a gang known as 'Gaza Thugs', which operates in the school. Two of the boys pleaded guilty to the allegations.
Allegations are that on January 14, the boys confronted a 16-year-old boy with whom they had had a previous altercation.
A knife was reportedly used to stab the 16-year-old just under his right breast. He was also cut on both arms and had to be admitted in hospital.
